"They’re crease-proof, they’re waterproof… it’s the next generation of 24/7 Pencils! Our Shadow Pencils deliver incredible color payout, but feel lightweight. The new fat shape allows you to cover large areas more quickly. Use the thin tip as eyeliner, or the side of the tip as a generous swipe of eyeshadow. Luscious drop-dead shades make you feel every inch the creative type, as you blend shimmer, cream and sparkle finishes. Skip the powder shadow brushes and water – our pencils make it easier than ever to get vibrant eyeshadow looks on the go. Experiment with multiple shades layered together, then blend away for an unbelievable effect that sets and stays put. All shades are paraffin, mineral oil, and paraben-free."
Swatched heavily vs. swatched lightly
I was very curious to try these shadow pencils when I first heard Urban Decay was launching them. I've always wanted to try Midnight Cowboy Eyeshadow and decided I may as well pick up that shade in shadow pencil form. "Midnight Cowboy" is a medium beige with flecks of gold glitter. This particular pencil is very glittery, but works amazing as a base or alone on days when I'm in a rush and just want a touch of colour. The formula itself does not crease and is thus excellent to use as a base. One problem, you have to work rather quickly as the formula doesn't budge after about 10 seconds. These really are smudge proof, and waterproof! I like to use these as an eyeshadow or base, but you can use the pencils as eyeliners as well. If there is a similar colour in the Eye-Shadow Pencils vs. the Eye Pencils, I would suggest getting the shadow pencil because you are getting more value in terms of product vs. cost. These are packaged exactly like the 24/7 Eye Pencils, but are much fatter, and a wee bit shorter, so as long as you sharper the tip, or apply it using a brush, you can easily use these big guys as eyeliners as well.
